The Dunukofia Local Government Area witnessed a momentous occasion as 1000 women received empowerment through the “Nkwado Ndi Afia Table” (Financial Support to Petty Traders) program. This initiative was made possible by the generous sponsorship of Ichie Akubudike Foundation,
Prince Engr Dr. Arthur Eze (Ozoigbondu), and the Mayor of Dunukofia Local Government Area.
Ichie Akubudike Foundation sponsored 300 women, Prince Engr Dr. Arthur Eze (Ozoigbondu) sponsored 600 women, while the remaining beneficiaries was sponsored by the Mayor. This collective effort has brought immense joy to the women, who are now equipped to enhance their businesses and improve their livelihoods.
The empowerment ceremony was graced by Dr. Mrs. Nonye Soludo, wife of the Executive Governor of Anambra State, and other dignitaries. In her address, Dr. Mrs. Soludo urged the beneficiaries to utilize the empowerment fund wisely and expressed her appreciation to the sponsors. She prayed that God would continue to bless them for their kindness.
The Mayor of Dunukofia Local Government Council, Bar. CC Ozumba, also expressed his gratitude to the sponsors and prayed that the empowerment fund would have a multiplier effect on the beneficiaries. He wished them success and prosperity in their endeavors.
The “Nkwado Ndi Afia Table” program is a significant step towards economic empowerment for the women of Dunukofia.
