The Ichie Akubudike Foundation has once again demonstrated its commitment to compassion, hard work, and community empowerment by supporting Mr. Nonso Okonkwo from Ugwueze village, Umudioka, Dunukofia LGA. The foundation presented him with the sum of Three Million Naira (₦3,000,000) to facilitate his travel to abroad for greener pastures.
Expressing his heartfelt gratitude, Mr. Okonkwo thanked the founder of the foundation, High Chief Jim Martin Nwabueze, for coming to his aid at a critical time. Having secured his travel documents but lacking the funds for other essential expenses, he described the intervention of the foundation as timely and life-changing. He also prayed for continued blessings upon the founder.
The Secretary of the Foundation, Chief Sunday Anene, recounted how Mr. Okonkwo reached out for support and how the prompt response of High Chief Jim Martin Nwabueze helped turn his dream of traveling abroad for greener pastures, into reality. He further encouraged the beneficiary to maximize the opportunity for the benefit of his family and the wider community.
In his remarks, the Coordinator of the Ichie Akubudike Grassroots Movement, Chief Onyeka Nwabueze, commended the founder’s generosity and advised Mr. Okonkwo to use the opportunity wisely. He expressed hope that within two to three years, the beneficiary would be in a position to empower other youths, thereby extending the vision of the foundation.
The Chairman of Ugwueze village, Mr. Chukwudi Okonkwo, also thanked High Chief Jim Martin Nwabueze for his kind gesture. He urged the youths of the community to shun questionable behaviors and instead become good ambassadors, just as Mr. Okonkwo has exemplified. Similarly, the Youth Chairman of the village, Comrade Ejiofor, praised the foundation for its support and pledged that the youths would continue to follow the right path.
