In its continued drive to promote education and nurture the potential of young minds, the Ichie Akubudike Foundation, founded by High Chief Jim Martin Nwabueze—a distinguished philanthropist and passionate advocate for learning—has kicked off the 4th Annual Free Summer Lesson Program.
The initiative, fully funded by the foundation, caters to both primary and secondary school students, offering them a structured and impactful learning experience during the long vacation period.
Under the auspices of the Ichie Akubudike Foundation, the program provides free educational resources, mentorship, and academic guidance. Its goal is to help students remain focused on their studies, prepare them for future success, and keep them meaningfully engaged during the holiday. Beyond academics, the program also seeks to steer youths away from social vices, fostering positive values and a sense of responsibility.
Speaking on the impact of the initiative, Engr. Emeka Ezenwa, one of the program’s instructors, commended the foundation for complementing government efforts in educational development. “This annual program has become a landmark event in our community. It reflects Ichie Akubudike’s unwavering dedication to education and youth empowerment. His efforts have positively touched the lives of countless students across Anambra State,” he said.
Several students also expressed gratitude for the opportunity. They described the lessons as a valuable platform that helps them get ahead academically while keeping them constructively occupied during the holidays. Many lauded the foundation for its consistent commitment, having sponsored the program for four consecutive years.
To further encourage excellence, the foundation has introduced prizes for the best-performing students in each class. This reward system aims to inspire healthy competition, motivate hard work, and raise academic standards among participants.
The summer lesson program is a core part of the Ichie Akubudike Foundation’s broader mission to empower the next generation of leaders. By expanding access to quality education and promoting academic distinction, the foundation is contributing significantly to building a brighter future for its communities.
As the 4th edition progresses, it is expected to attract an even larger number of students and participants from neighboring areas. The foundation’s unwavering dedication to education and community development remains a testament to its vision of creating lasting, positive change.
